INMA Workshop Wednesdays: Next Generation Building Materials for Force Protection and Electromagnetic Security

Today’s natural and man-made threats require us to think differently and drive the need for improved building design and materials. From blasts, to gunfire or EMP attack, innovative building materials are being used to increase resiliency and prevent or reduce catastrophic failure, reduce downtime in areas such as data centers, and to prevent deaths.

Join us as we explore the innovative science and practical experience behind building materials such as bullet absorbing walls, materials to shield structures from EMP, high winds, blasts and high impact incidents. Threats to our critical infrastructure are great and ever changing, so too must our thought processes and materials.

– Pedram Hesam, PhD, PSP – Pedram Hesam is a Senior Engineer at Karagozian & Case, Inc., ASIS Board Certified Physical Security Professional, and a PSPA Certified Security Supervisor/Manager with years of experience in structural engineering and protective design
