Meatballs and Meatbags: Hacking the critical associations underlying our judicial branch.

The world has transitioned to reliance on computers for full-time remote work for the first time in the history of humanity. Our third branch of government, the judiciary, acts as a check and balance to the legislative and executive branches. Every critical industry in Infragard relies on the Judicial Branch and on the associations which make the Judicial Branch function. This presentation delves into the historical role bar associations have played and the role they continue to play in the digital age.

Learning Outcomes/Objectives

1. The Judicial Branch is a system that now functions with all parties now existing with one foot in reality and one foot in virtual reality.
2. The Judicial Branch has created Virtual Courts through a combination of administrative decree and legislation which is less than two years old.
3. The number of cases decided at the municipal and district level has created a bottleneck effect for our appellate courts.

I am an attorney with a background in civil litigation and criminal defense. I graduated from law school in 2012 and have engaged in a number of areas of law. I currently primarily work as a panel attorney with the Kansas Public Defenders and the Criminal Justice Act panel for a federal court. I am licensed in Missouri, Kansas, District of Kansas, Western District of Missouri, the Board of Veteran Claims and Appeals, and Washington D.C. Prior to being a lawyer I served in the Armed Forces.
