DESCRIPTION
Advanced cyber threats pose an unprecedented risk to our interconnected critical national infrastructure (CNI), and the millions of customers that daily depend upon it. The government’s recognition of these threats, specifically the quantum threat, underlines the importance of hardening critical infrastructure to protect services and the safety of staff. The release of multiple National Security Memoranda, including NSM-8 aimed at improving cybersecurity standards across National Security agencies and NSM-10 aimed at mitigating risks to cryptographic systems, as well as an Executive Order around Zero Trust places pressure on CNI providers to implement cybersecurity measures that will harden critical infrastructure. During this session Quantinuum’s cybersecurity expert will outline why Quantum Computing poses such a significant threat to the cybersecurity of our Critical Infrastructure, and what organizations need to consider as they begin preparations to harden infrastructure.
